That being nice to others was always a good thing, that you could do no harm. When in fact the only thing that you would essentially get is being used by other people or walked on/over. It’s a bitch, especially when it’s ingrained to you from an early age.
Or the other one being that hard work will get you far or promoted. Some places that’s not the case, Some people like getting their ass kissed. Or those same people are wanting to know what you would do for that raise or promotion.
After what I’ve been through just this year, I’ve had to change up my thought process and be more blunt about things. Be more of an asshole towards people. I could kill ’em with kindness but I can also slaughter their ass with shock ‘n awe! Leave ’em dumbstruck. Simple as that.
