This actually something that I had to deal with in prison. We had computers BUT no access to the internet if I’m correct, not to mention you only had so much time on a computer anyway.
For something like this it was either me reading books or magazines. Listening to music; we had these expensive ass MP3 players that the prison system was gouging inmates on. Sandisk sport clip MP3 players. Over $80 dollars for some thing that actually cost a fraction of the money. There was outdoor activities. Softball, bocce ball (which is my favorite sport now), billiards, you could take classes on beading, art, crocheting. I did learn a bunch of new stuff minus the computer. It was great. Now I do still draw on paper or other media. Gotta get back into reading all the books that I have. I do the mockups or new designs pertaining to Fu!k & Lu!v off of the computer, I find that hand drawn is better than computer drawn or sketched. Same thing with PsychicNut. Once I get done with these 3-4 t-shirt designs for this client then, I’ll go back to doing work on a physical copy of PsychicNut…..
